 Is your daughter a fan of the Pinkalicious book by Elizabeth and Victoria Kann?  Pinkalicious is the young gal who can’t stop eating pink cupcakes, even though she has been warned, and ends up with a case of Pinkititis!  This is a New York Times bestseller that girls, especially ones that love pink, will adore.  It is a perfect book to build a party theme around. For your party invitation, make up a batch of pink cupcakes, frosted pink with a cherry on top.  Place into an individual small white box and write your party details around the entire white box using pink markers.  Let the birthday child decorate the boxes as well.  Hand-deliver your sweet party invitation to all of your guests.

Of course, when you think of decorations, think pink for your balloons, streamers and table ware.  Birthday in a Box has you covered for all the solid colored partyware. Hang stars from your ceiling with fishing wire.  Cover your party table with a white piece of butcher paper and scatter pink and purple crayons around the table for the kids to draw Pinkalicious cupcakes.

For additional party activities,

Play Pink Musical Chairs.  Cut out pink round circles from heavy card stock and place on each chair, and play the game.

Play Pin the Cherry on the Cupcake

Play Hot Cucpake, like Hot Potato.

Hold a Pink Taste Test.  Blindfold the guests and have them taste a series of pink foods, e.g. strawberry yogurt, watermelon jelly beans, pink ice cream, etc. and see if they can guess the food.

Build a Cupcake Sundae.  Provide small shortbread cakes, whipped cream with a drop of red food coloring to make it pink, pink candies, cherries, and icing and see who can eat their sundae most slowly.

Hold a Pink Scavenger Hunt.  Hide small pink candies in the party area, make sure they are wrapped, and give the kids a limited amount of time to find as many candies as they can.
